Last year I did one of the most incredible things that I think I've ever done in my life - summitting Mt St Helens. The experience is still so vivid in my mind and it's a constant reminder of the huge accomplishment not just for myself, but more for my son. He has pictures strung throughout his room-and we remince about that day often. . When Carston was younger, he used to be obsessed with volcanoes-he would talk my ear off about them incessantly. While he has grown to love other things, standing on the summit of an active volcano ...
Sand in the eyes and a fickle camera. You can't tell in this photo, but it was an ultimate sand storm at the top of High Dune. The boys made it to the to the top. What a day to celebrate Carston's 12th birthday. . . . #landscape#coloradogram
A little off-road-ing...alone, no kids, no husband. Sometimes you just need your space, and peace and quiet. Definitely had it here in the Cathedral Valley. Practically had the place to myself for 20 hrs. Watched a couple of storms roll through, which, lucky for me, its bark was bigger than it's bite. I was a little nervous, but the gamble paid off thankfully. Photos coming soon to: @dananicole09 . . . . #landscape#getlost
"How did that get there?" " I da know."🤷♀️ I have a very curious, inquisitive child. He's always asking me questions I don't always have the answers to. But he also has so much information he wants to share. "Mom, did you know...." "No, I didn't know that, that's very interesting. Thank you for telling me." He always appreciates the beauty around him..
