“Better to see something once than hear about it a thousand times” . . My sentiments exactly about our first visit to Stonehenge. Seeing something in person is far different from images we’ve studied in textbooks or seen on the internet. Nothing can compare to taking the time to explore our amazing planet! . . It was a super chilly and windy day on our visit, but it added to the magic of this place. . . There was something transformative about being around these formations that are more than 5,000 years old.
3/3 Photoshoot at the lovely @stonehenge for @Acoustiguide. Despite 'access all areas' pass - it chucked it down! Confined to the indoors from sodden ground, we still made the photoshoot work :) . Acoustiguide make the devices you listen to in museums & heritage places and were launching a new fancy product (Opus+). . . . #englishheritage#advertisingphotographer
Posted @withrepost • @ricksteveseurope As old as the pyramids, and older than the Acropolis and the Colosseum, Stonehenge amazed medieval Europeans, who figured it was built by a race of giants. Today, it still retains an air of mystery and majesty (partly because cordons, which keep hordes of tourists from trampling all over it, foster the illusion that it stands alone in a field). . . #addiemannan#travelgram
