Back to a Sunday I’d like back. Sunday’s especially are for walks by the riverside. Discovering places and calmly enjoying life. Here is a beautiful place I fell in love with and can’t wait to go back to with a book and enjoy a coffee. Be there a full day, surrounded by flowers and plants. Surrounded by life itself.
Our favourite pit stop on our walk for a cuppa, cake (sustenance 😆) and to buy house plants just before making our way home. There’s just something wonderful about walking through this emporium — so many things to see/buy, friendly staff and good vibes....the food is yummylicious too! #plantsmakepeoplehappy 🌱
The Medinilla Magnifica is a titan of the houseplant world. Originating from the tropical forests of the Philippines, the dramatic flower heads hang beneath the umbrella of thick, architectural, leathery leaves throughout Spring and Summer. A stunning centrepiece that will light up any room. Shade from direct sunlight and mist regularly for the happiest of houseplants. • • • #petershamnurseries#petershamnurseriesrichmond
If you’re going to Richmond don’t forget to visit Petersham Nurseries cafe. A nice walk along Thames and you are there. There are two options to eat: a beautiful restaurant that serves healthy food (please note , very busy place so I advice to book in advance). The second option is budget cosy tea place inside a glass-house where you can enjoy homemade cakes. Also there is a shop that sells antiques, decorations items, homewares and gifts. This place also has unique garden with amazing flowers. Highly recommend to visit this place in London.
If you love your plants but struggle to keep them happy and healthy, this group of plants will forgive quite a lot, and thrive in most environments. Succulents and cacti love bright light, and infrequent watering - add a little plant food now and again, and these desert-denizens will be happy house guests. Many flower quite extravagantly too, and look wonderful grouped together on a bright windowsill. • • • #petershamnurseries#petershamnurseriesrichmond
