Epping Forest. we rode go carts here as a kid, Mum had trouble climbing the hill but could push me from the top. This forest has been in use since neolithic times. there's a neolithic fort a mile from this picture, the krays dumped their bodies here, and there are ponds made from ww2 bomb craters. It's a magical place. The best conkers in the world can be found close by.
a sure sign of a fantastic run! After a very wet and grey week and morning, the sun came out just in time to give me a couple hours to splodge my way through 13 lovely Epping Forest miles, past horned cows, nesting coots day-glo fungi and all the mud. . . . #eppingforestrunning#octoberrunning
It was an INCREDIBLY rainy day but the woods were so beautiful. I’m very glad I took an afternoon out to explore the autumnal delights of Epping Forest, followed by tea and a cinnamon bun in @gailsbakery to warm up / dry off. ______________________________________ #autumn#autumnvibes🍁

We love this image from one our meet the animals events. It’s amazing to see our wonderful children get such a buzz from our brilliant Suntrap animals! At these events we help young people learn more about the animals as well as ways to respect and care for them and importantly to educate on environmental impacts on wildlife. . . . . #primaryteaching#secondaryteaching
Back in September we went on a woodland walk in Epping Forest - I was looking for fungi on a rotting log when I noticed a jawbone sticking out of the leaf litter! 💀 . It turned out to be the carefully curled up whole skeleton of what I think is a fox 🦊 . Everything was there from the ribs to the legs and vertebrae - so interesting to see! 🤓 . I'm planning on bleaching the skull and adding it to my nature table - this will be a bit of an experiment...I'll share the results with you ...
