This is not a fun excerpt. Daphnis and Chloe, why Ravel. I've listened to multiple recordings and this excerpt is apparently on many orchestra auditions, yet in these recordings, I can't even hear the bass clarinet. I'm also starting to notice that there is a huge jump from high school to college for the bass clarinet. It's always whole notes in high school, but these excerpts demand 32nd notes.
