It’s been a chilly Sunday here in Warwick. Here are some pics to take you back to the beautiful sunny Sunday of our Picnic in the Park, where we enjoyed @revelationbigband , Mal Wood Band and the Well Swung Daddies, along with the best impromptu version of Dr. Worm we have ever heard, from a young audience member! Photography by Trevor Martin. Thank you to our event sponsor @warwickcreditunionltd , @weddingsandeventswarwick_ who created our beautiful jazz stage area, and the Warwick Baptist Creative Craft Group for the handmade stage decorations. 🧶🎶☀️🎺 @queensland @sqcountry #jumpersandjazzinjuly#warwickqld ...
We have great news for those who didn’t get a chance to visit Off the Grid during the @jumpersandjazzinjuly festival! This remarkable installation, created by our Yarntopians team, will remain on display in the gallery foyer until Saturday 24 August. Involving many months of work by approximately 80 knitters and crocheters, you really need to see it in person to enjoy all the quirky details! 🧶 #jumpersandjazzinjuly#ilovetoyarn

We often get asked how the dates are decided for Jumpers & Jazz in July, and it’s easy! Here’s how you can do it yourself if you want to plan your migration now. • Our 10 day jazz and yarnbombing festival spans two weekends. • These two weekends are always the LAST two JULY weekends. If a weekend falls in both July and August, we go back to the weekend before. We can’t have any days of our July festival falling in August, or chaos and confusion will ensue! • The festival begins on the Thursday before the first weekend. ...
Congratulations to one of our Wool on Wheels participants, @threadalittlelight !! This very talented yarn-bomber won the Tree Jumper Exhibition Award for the 2019 @jumpersandjazzinjuly! Her Wool on Wheels bike, located outside @rochelepainting, has a similar design using the intricate 'sparks' of energy. Make sure you keep an eye out for it! #fortyten Looking forward to seeing more of your amazing creations Narelle! #al_bi_on_it
Great news for those who enjoyed the antics of these flamboyant feathered friends during the festival! #repost @warwickartgallery with @repostapp ・・・ The Yarntopian flamingos have acclimatised to our lovely Warwick winters, and have decided to stay on for a little while. Pop in and see them in the gallery garden before they migrate! 💗🍍 Flamingo crochet pattern by @trishlemoose #jumpersandjazzinjuly

Our bone section was particularly groovy on the weekend at @jumpersandjazzinjuly - even when they weren’t playing their horns!! Not sure what this move is called though... suggestions welcome! #jumpersandjazzinjuly#revelationbigband
